FAUJA SINGH BIOGRAPHY
Fauja Singh was born on 1 st April, 1911, in Beas Pind, Jalandhar, Punjab, British India the youngest of four children. Fauja did not develop the ability to walk until he was five years old. His legs were tin and weak, and he could hardly walk long distances.Due to this, he was often teased, and had to carry the nicknamed 'danda' for the next ten years.

The world's oldest marathon runner ran his last race on Sunday at the age of 101.Fauja Singh finished the Hong Kong marathon's 10-kilometer (6.25-mile) race in a time of 1 hour, 32 minutes and 28 seconds.

They also questioned the double standards of the publishers when it came to recognising accomplishments by Asians, suggesting racism might be behind the decision.
